Vol. 136 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Saint Kevin's Hospital Regulations.

asked the Minister for Health whether there is any restriction on the right of inmates of the chronic sick section or the destitute inmates at Saint Kevin's Hospital, Dublin, who are physically able to do so to leave the precincts of the institution during the day for the purpose of private business or pleasure.

I am informed that infirm persons in Saint Kevin's Hospital are permitted to leave the precincts of the hospital if their physical condition permits, for the purposes of private business or pleasure.

Destitute persons are readily granted permission to leave the institution for the same purpose.
