Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Acquisition and Division.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission will consider dividing the farm of Daniel Flavin at Pillmore, Youghal, at the earliest possible date.

The Land Commission have no proceedings for the acquisition of these lands but are having inquiries made.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission have considered the desirability of acquiring for the relief of congestion the lands of Mr. Higgins, Kilclooney, Milltown, County Galway; and, if so, if he would state what steps, if any, the Land Commission are taking in the matter.

The Land Commission have instituted proceedings for the acquisition of these lands.

Could the Minister give any indication as to whether it is likely that the Land Commission will acquire these lands, as people in that area are badly in need of conacre?

The owners have the right, as the Deputy knows, to lodge an objection.
