Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Roscommon Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what progress has been made by the Land Commission towards the acquisition of the lands of the representatives of Henry Glover (Record No. U2435) for the purpose of relieving congestion in the locality.

The Land Commission have decided to withdraw their proceedings for the compulsory acquisition of this estate but are considering an alternative method of obtaining possession of the lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission have prepared a scheme for the division of the Levinge estate, Newpark, Kiltoom, Athlone; and, if so, when it is likely to be put into operation.

It is expected that a scheme for the estate in question will be operated this spring.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state when the Land Commission expect to have the rearrangement of the Kyle estate, County Roscommon, completed.

It is expected that sufficient additional land will be acquired in the course of the next few months to permit of the work of rearrangement being put in hands this year.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission have considered the propriety of acquiring O'Malley's farm, Rathconnor, County Roscommon, for the purpose of division amongst deserving applicants; and, if so, with what result.

The Land Commission have no proceedings for the acquisition of this estate, but are having inquiries made.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state when the Land Commission intend to put a scheme into operation for the division of the non-residential farm of Mr. Clarke, situated at Hollywell.

It is expected that most of the estate will be allotted this spring.
