Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cost of Health Services.

asked the Minister for Health if he will state the total cost of health services throughout the Republic for the year 1951/52 or to the latest available date under the following heads:- (1) central services (a) administrative, (b) medical (including nursing and dental) and (c) other professional; (2) local authority services (a) administrative, (b) medical (including nursing and dental) and (c) other professional.

The information is as follows: (1) (a) £110,000, (b) £30,000, (c) £15,000; (2) (a) £360,000, (b) £2,770,000, (c) £45,000.

The foregoing figures are approximate. The figure at (2) (a) does not include the cost of staff not engaged solely on health (including medical assistance) duties, for which no figure is available.
