Vol. 136 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - An Bord Fáilte and Fógra Fáilte Dollor Allowances

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the sterling equivalent of the dollars made available to An Bord Fáilte and Fógra Fáilte, respectively, from the 1st April, 1952, to the latest convenient date.

During the period 1st April, 1952, to 31st January, 1953,transfers by An Bord Fáilte and Fógra Fáilte under exchange control approvals to meet expenditure in the dollar area totalled £30,630.

Are they dealt with in one amalgamated transfer?

I answered the Deputy's question. I have nothing to add to it.

The Minister has not answered my question. I asked for the sterling equivalent of dollars made available to An Bord Fáilte and Fógra Fáilte respectively. Does the Minister not understand the meaning of the word "respectively"?

I regret that on this occasion I do appear to have been at fault.

You must have used up all your friends behind the Iron Curtain.

You have many friends behind the Iron Curtain. If the Deputy will be good enough to put down the question again, I will deal with it.

I will repeat it next week.
