Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Acquisition and Division.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission propose to divide the Connery estate, Kilmeedy East, Youghal, this year.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state if and when the Land Commission propose to divide the Walsh estate, Summerhill, Kinsalebeg, Youghal.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take together Questions Nos. 26 and 28.

These estates have been acquired by the Land Commission but it is not possible at present to indicate when allotment will take place.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission have considered the proprietyof acquiring the lands of Miss Bridget Kiely, Knockanoe, Tallow, County Waterford, for division amongst adjoining uneconomic landholders; and, if so, with what result.

The Land Commission have no proceedings for the acquisition of these lands but inquiries are being made.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what progress has been made by the Land Commission towards the acquisition of the lands of the late Thomas Queenan, Portobello, Elphin, County Roscommon.

Proceedings have been instituted for the acquisition of this estate. An objection to acquisition has been lodged and is pending for hearing before the commissioners.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state when it is proposed to divide the Doyle estate, Piltown, Youghal.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Anderson estate, Piltown, Youghal, will be divided this year.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take together Questions Nos. 30 and 31.

The estate of Mr. William Doyle has been acquired and his holding, on the tenanted land estate of Anderson, has been resumed by the Land Commission. It may be possible to allot the lands late in the year.

The Land Commission have no proceedings in respect of an untenanted land estate of Anderson in this district.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will now ask the Land Commission to investigate and review the position concerning the Anderson estate, Timahoe, County Laoighis, in view of the fact that order is restored in the village, and harmony prevails.

I have nothing further to add to my reply of 11th inst. to a question by Deputy Davin about this estate.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission have decided to acquire and divide the Buddicum estate, Glenturk, Bangor-Erris, County Mayo; and, if so, if he will take immediate steps to have it divided amongst the adjoining tenants of the Bingham estate who have grazed the Buddicum lands for years.

The Land Commission have decided to take no action for the acquisition of this estate.

Has the Forestry Department any interest in that estate?

That is a separate question.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the present position regarding the acquisition and/ or allotment by the Land Commission of the Blake estate, Corbally, Cummer, County Galway.

The acquisition proceedings have been completed in this case and possession of the lands has been obtained. It is unlikely that the Land Commission will be in a position to allot the lands this spring.
