asked the Taoiseach if he will state the acreage of wheat sown in this country in 1952 and the quantity of native wheat delivered to Irish flour and wheatenmeal mills in that year.

The total area under wheat in the country on 1st June, 1952, was 254,421 statute acres. The total quantity of native wheat delivered to Irish flour and wheatenmeal mills, after adjustment has been made for inter-mill sales, was 4,050,000 cwt. during the calendar year 1952.
