Vol. 138 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - National Health Insurance Statistics.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare whether he will indicate the average number of persons employed weekly, distinguishing between males and females, as derived from the net contribution income of the national health insurance fund in the years 1950, 1951 and 1952.

The figures asked for by the Deputy are as follows:—

Year

Total

950

332,000

157,800

489,800

951

339,700

159,200

498,900

952 (provisional estimate)

350,300

That is a big drop for the Deputy.
