With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the index numbers of wholesale prices and of import and export unit values for the month of January in each of the years 1951, 1952 and 1953, and for the month of June in 1951 and 1952, as well as the interim cost-of-living index (essential items) for mid-February, 1951, 1952 and 1953, and for mid-May, 1951 and 1952, the nearest dates for which the latter index numbers are available.
Following is the statement:—
