asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state (a) the largest amount paid out of the Exchequer for work done for an individual applicant under section B of the land rehabilitation project since 1949; (b) the total area of land dealt with for this particular applicant; (c) the amount this particular person contributed in cash towards the cost of the work done on his land; (d) when was his application received in hisDepartment; (e) when his Department decided that the application should be favourably considered and (f) in what county the work was done.

Mr. Walsh

(a) £11,035 10s.; (b) 208 acres; (c) occupier elected to pay his contribution of £2,496 by way of an annuity of £99 16s. 10d.; (d) 10th June, 1950; (e) 6th December, 1951; (f) as indicated in replies to previous parliamentary questions, I do not consider it desirable that individual applications under the land reclamation scheme should be made the subject of parliamentary discussion. Accordingly, I do not propose to give any detail which might serve to identify the occupier of the lands in this case.
