Vol. 139 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Import of Potatoes.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether any potatoes have been imported into Ireland since the 1st January, 1953; and, if so, in what quantities and at what price, and what effect these imports are likely to have on the level of prices available to domestic producers.

Mr. Walsh

None but a few small lots of potatoes for experimental purposes have been imported and these could not possibly have any effect on the domestic position.
