Vol. 139 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Customs Clearance of Racing Boats.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware of the great inconvenience caused to oarsmen attending regattas on both sides of the land frontier by the customs delay in clearing racing boats at frontier posts; and, if so, if he will point out to the Revenue Commissioners the necessity for expediting such customs clearances.

I am not aware that any inconvenience due to customs formalities is being caused to oarsmen attending regattas as indicated in the question. If the Deputy has any particular case in mind I would ask him to give me details and I will have the matter investigated.
