Vol. 140 No. 5

Question on Adjournment.

I gave notice that I would raise a question at Question Time to-day, of which I gave a copy.

The Deputy's question will be on the Order Paper for answer to-morrow.

It will be late to-morrow because this is the last day in which the change can be made.

The question is not within the province of questions envisaged by the Standing Order. I told the Deputy that last night.

Yes, but I also pointed out——

I cannot discuss the matter with the Deputy. I gave that ruling.

On what ground is it ruled out?

Because it is not a matter of urgent public importance.

I claim that it is.

The question will be answered to-morrow.

It affects thousands of people, thousands of workers.

I propose to raise this matter on the Adjournment. It is an important matter and it should be easily answered to-day as well as to-morrow.
