Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Telephone Development.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state (a) the amount of interest paid on money borrowed for telephone development in the year 1952, and (b) from whom the money was borrowed.

The information requested is as follows:—(a) The amount of interest paid on money borrowed in 1952 for telephone development was £77,945. This interest was paid on 1st June, 1953. A further instalment of interest amounting to £59,075 on the money borrowed in 1952 will be due on 1st December, 1953. (b) Post Office Savings Bank fund.
