Vol. 141 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Athy Telephone Calls.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he has received complaints from subscribers in the Athy area regarding the delay on telephone calls in consequence of the inadequacy of the telephone equipment provided at the Athy exchange, and if he will indicate when additional equipment will be provided to eliminate the delay at present experienced on calls to and from Athy.

I am aware that there have been some complaints from the Athy area about delay on trunk telephone calls. Additional circuits from Athy to Dublin and Carlow are expected to be working within a few days and should result in a much improved service at Athy.
