Vol. 142 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Telephone Kiosks.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he has received requests for the installation of a public telephone kiosk at the junction of Navan Road and Baggot Road; and, if so, if he proposes to accede to this request in this rapidly-expanding area.

The answer to the first part of the question is "Yes". The provision of a kiosk would not be warranted at the present stage of building development in the area but the matter is being kept under review.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the urgent necessity for the provision of public telephones on Dublin Corporation housing scheme at East Finglas and West Cappagh, Finglas; and, if so, whether he will arrange to have these facilities provided immediately.

Arrangements are already in hand for the provision of a kiosk at West Cappagh, within a reasonably convenient distance of the corporation housing scheme. The provision of an additional kiosk in East Finglas is not warranted at the present stage of building development in the area but the matter will be kept under review.
