Vol. 143 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Workmen's Compensation Claims.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state how many claims under the Workmen's Compensation Acts are outstanding in State Departments; further, if he will state whether in some cases the claims are years awaiting settlement; and, if so, if he will issue a general instruction to Departments to bring these cases to an immediate and favourable conclusion.

The information sought in the first part of the question is not available in my Department. As regards the second part, I feel certain the position is not as suggested by the Deputy but, if he has any particular case in mind, I will have it investigated on his sending particulars to my Department.
