Vol. 143 No. 2

Imposition of Duties (Confirmation of Orders) (No. 2) Bill, 1953—First Stage.

Leave granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to confirm certain Orders made under the Emergency Imposition of Duties Act, 1932.— (Acting Minister for Finance.)

When is the Bill going to be circulated?

Immediately.

When will it be printed? Is it printed?

May I draw your attention, Sir, to the fact that it is illegal to print a Bill before leave is given to introduce it? At least the formalities should be observed of not saying in the House that it has been printed.

I have no proof that anything has been done.
