Vol. 143 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Baltimore and Glandore Water Supply.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will indicate the present position regarding the provision of a water supply for (a) Baltimore and (b) Glandore.

The source of supply originally proposed for Baltimore water supply scheme has proved to be unsatisfactory. With a view to locating an alternative source, boring and pumping tests are being carried out locally.

Final documents for a water supply scheme to serve Glandore have been approved. It is now a matter for the county council to acquire the necessary lands and rights and to invite tenders for the work.
