Vol. 143 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Barley and Oats Prices.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will indicate whether the Government intends to put a floor under the price of barley and oats.

Mr. Walsh

It is not intended to fix minimum prices for barley or oats but imports of these grains and of comparable feeding stuffs will be restricted to such extent as may be necessary to provide a market for home grown barley and oats.
