Vol. 143 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - British Stamps on Receipts.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that the Irish office of a society with headquarters in London which collects copyright fees on performances of dance music, etc., in this country issues receipts to which British stamps are affixed; and if he will take steps, if necessary by the introduction of proposals for legislation, to ensure that any such receipts issued in future shall bear Irish stamps.

I was not aware that receipts stamped with British stamps were being issued in the State. If the Deputy will give me details of any case in which this has happened I will have the matter looked into without delay.
