Vol. 144 No. 1

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kerry Water Supply Schemes.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware of the urgent necessity for the carrying through of the water supply schemes at Rossbeigh, Dungegan, Milltown and Farranfore, County Kerry; and, if so, if he will announce his decision in regard to these schemes at an early date.

Proposals for the extension of the Glenbeigh water supply to Rossbeigh and outline proposals for a water supply scheme to serve Dungegan/Ballinskelligs have been submitted by the sanitary authority and are under examination in my Department. Local inspections have recently been carried out and a communication will issue to the sanitary authority as soon as possible.

As indicated in replies to previous questions, approval has been given to revised outline proposals for Milltown water supply scheme and to the appointment of a consultant for the proposed water supply scheme for Farranfore.
