Vol. 144 No. 2

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business as on the Order Paper: Items Nos. 1, 17 and 7. Business will be interrupted at 6 p.m., if agreed, to take the Second and subsequent Stages of No. 1.

The Second Stage. Let us cross the next fence when we meet it. What is the point of adding No. 7 to the list?

I am hoping that No. 17 will be finished.

Not this side of Easter, I gather.

I do not know what length of time item No. 1 will take— whether it will be a couple of minutes or a couple of hours—but I am interested in it for this reason, that I am interested in item No. 17 and so long as it goes on, I have to be in the House. The House understands that there are a number of amendments in my name and I have to be here for them, and it would be a rather severe physical strain on me personally if I have to be in the House all the time——

Nonsense!

——until 10.30. The Tánaiste might take that into consideration in arranging for the discussion of this Bill on other occasions.

I will keep that in mind.

I am in the difficulty that I have no Parliamentary Secretary.

Could we have some information about next week's sitting? Is it proposed to sit on Tuesday?

What about to-morrow's business?

To-morrow, at the normal hour.

And to-morrow's business?

If 17 does not finish.

Could I ask the Tánaiste to order something else for to-morrow morning?

He is not ordering anything now.

I will think about it. I am hoping that 17 will finish.
