Vol. 144 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Land in Wexford.

asked the Minister for Lands if, in view of the fact that there are a number of uneconomic holdings in the Kilmore area, Wexford, the Land Commission will take steps to acquire land with a view to dividing it among the uneconomic holders and thus relieving the existing congestion.

The Land Commission have no proceedings for the acquisition of lands in the Kilmore area but they will now re-examine the position generally. I would ask the Deputy to lodge with the Land Commission particulars of the uneconomic holdings to which he refers, so that inquiries can be made.
