Vol. 144 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Road and Health Service Charges.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will, because of the already intolerable burden of local rates and the almost certain likelihood of further steep increases in the years ahead, introduce proposals for legislation at once to relieve local authorities of road and health service charges and to supply the necessary moneys from the Exchequer instead.

The reply is in the negative.
