Vol. 144 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ardkeen Sanatorium: Boilermen's Wages.

asked the Minister for Health whether he has received from the Waterford County Manager proposals for the payment of an increase by way of bonus to the boilermen employed at Ardkeen Sanatorium, County Waterford; and, if so, if he will state when he hopes to be able to come to a decision as regards giving sanction in this case.

A proposal to pay an increased rate of wages to boilermen employed at Ardkeen Sanatorium, County Waterford, has been received from the Waterford County Manager. This proposal is being considered in conjunction with proposals submitted by the county manager in regard to revised arrangements for the staffing of the boiler-house. I hope to be in a position to give a decision on these proposals at an early date.
