Vol. 145 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Customs Clearance at Cork.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware of undue delay being experienced in the clearing of goods at Cork customs station; and, if so, if he will reorganise the existing service with a view to eliminating reference to Dublin and thereby expedite clearance.

I am satisfied that, provided the necessary customs formalities are properly complied with by the importers or their agents, there is no undue delay in the clearance of goods imported at Cork. The second part of the question does not therefore arise.
