Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Official Premises.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state where and for what purpose are premises to be acquired with the £460,000 provided in Vote 9 of the Estimates for Public Services, 1954-55, to purchase sites or buildings for the Departments of Finance, External Affairs, Justice and Social Welfare.

This money is required for—

(1) the payment to the Social Insurance Fund in respect of the transfer to the Commissioners of Public Works of Áras Brugha, Upper O'Connell Street, Dublin;

(2) the purchase of a building in Paris for the purposes of an Irish Embassy; and

(3) the purchase of sites for new Garda Síochána stations, employment exchanges, etc., including Garda stations at Geevagh, County Sligo; Killala, County Mayo; Slane, County Meath; Cloonfad, County Roscommon; Kingsland, County Roscommon; Rathdrum, County Wicklow; Ardee, County Louth; Labasheeda, County Clare; Feakle, County Clare; Fedamore, County Limerick; Bantry, County Cork; Rylane, County Cork; Ardara, County Donegal; Pettigo, County Donegal; Newtowncunningham, County Donegal; Killimor, County Galway; Kiltullagh, County Galway; Castlefin, County Donegal; and employment exchanges at Tralee and Cavan.
