Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Purchase Statistics.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state, with reference to Section 27 of the Land Act, 1950, the total number of holdings purchased (i) in the country and (ii) in each county, and the total acreage purchased and the price paid in the period between 1st May, 1952, and 1st February, 1954.

Between 1st May, 1952, and 1st February, 1954, the total number of holdings purchased under Section 27 of the Land Act, 1950, was 14, segregated as follows: three in Galway, six in Mayo, five in Roscommon. The total area of these holdings was 388 acres, and the price £11,418.
