Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Commission Survey in Athlone Area.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state with reference to his reply to my question (Dáil Debates, Volume 136, column 665) regarding the survey carried out in the Clonown area, Athlone, whether the Land Commission have decided to take steps to ameliorate conditions there for the local people.

I have asked the Land Commission to consider the migration of a number of tenants, whose holdings are subject to periodic flooding, from the Clonown area.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what progress has been made by the Land Commission towards the acquisition of the non-residential White farm. situated at Brackloon, County Roscommon.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what progress has been made by the Land Commission towards the acquisition of the lands of Mr. Joseph Daly, Lissagallon, County Roscommon.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 50 and 52 together.

The prices of these lands have been fixed and possession will be taken as soon as practicable.
