Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Milk Supply Stoppage.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state the number of incidents in the City of Dublin in which property was damaged during the milk stoppage, the number charged with such damage, the number convicted, the nature of the claims for compensation and the amount paid arising therefrom.

1. Number of incidents in Dublin in which property was damaged, 10. 2. Number of persons charged, 14. 3. Number convicted, 14. One claim for compensation was made in court. This was in respect of 67 gallons of milk which were spilled and a decree for £10 6s. 7d. with expenses was given.

Would the Minister feel that his colleague, the Minister for Finance, was correct a fortnight ago when he declared that it was necessary to imprison some of the farmers as a result of——
