Vol. 145 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Post Office Pensioners.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware that retired general service officers of his Department have been caused grave hardship by the long delay in applying to them the Government Order authorising half temporary service to them for pension purposes as from 1st May, 1951, and if he will now bring the long drawn out period of "consideration" and "active consideration" to an end and pay the arrears due to the retired officers concerned.

It is expected that a final decision will be given in this matter in the course of the next few weeks.
