Vol. 145 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Price of Creamery Milk.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he has any statement to make on the price of creamery milk in the coming season, consequent upon his discussions with the Irish Creamery Milk Suppliers' Association's deputation on 16th March.

Mr. Walsh

I have nothing to add to what I have said on this matter in the House on a number of occasions during the past few months.

Has the Minister's attention been drawn to the fact that a report was published of an interview with a deputation from the Irish Creamery Milk Suppliers' Association after they had called on the Minister and they had indicated that they had asked him for an increase in price ad interim until the costings committee had given their report? I think they discussed with him when the report would be available. Could the Minister gave us any information?

Mr. Walsh

I am answering a question regarding the report.

Can the Minister tell us when the costings committee——

Mr. Walsh

I am answering a question.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he has agreed to increase the price payable to creamery milk suppliers for milk; and, if so, whether he will indicate the amount of the increase.

Mr. Walsh

I have nothing to add to the reply which I gave to a question on this subject asked by Deputy P. O'Reilly on the 2nd December last.
