Vol. 145 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork Garda Station.

asked the Minister for Justice if, further to my question of 25th November, he will state whether final consideration has been given to the erection of a central Garda station to include police supervision for the Gurranebraher and Spangle Hill areas in Cork; and, if so, if he can indicate when building of the station will commence.

The building of a new Garda station for the better supervision of the Gurranebraher and Spangle Hill areas in Cork will have to await the completion of more urgent works in connection with the improvement of Garda accommodation. In the meantime, inquiries are being made with a view to securing a suitable site for the proposed new station.
