Vol. 145 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Killybegs Sanatorium: Extension.

asked the Minister for Health if, in view of the additional cost per patient to Donegal County Council for the maintenance of Donegal patients in Castlereagh sanatorium and the cost of transport of patients from Donegal to Castlereagh, he will consider the advisability, in the interest of economy, of the making available of a substantial grant to Donegal County Council to permit the erection of an additional wing to the existing sanatorium at Killybegs.

I have already discussed the question of additional accommodation for tuberculosis patients at Killybegs and elsewhere in the county with representatives of the Donegal County Council and the matter is at present under consideration in my Department. When a decision has been arrived at, I shall communicate with the county council.
