Vol. 145 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Turbary Allotments.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state when the turbary which the Land Commission have acquired at Tullamore and Shrounane will be allotted to applicants from the surrounding districts.

A sum of over £6,000 has been expended on the improvement of this bog and work is still proceeding. It is estimated that at least 12 months must elapse before any large section of the bog will have dried out sufficiently to permit of useful allotment.
