The total area under corn, root and green crops and flax on 1st June in each of the other years referred to was 1,890,766 statute acres in 1949; 1,756,636 statute acres in 1950; 1,705,347 statute acres in 1951; 1,708,177 statute acres in 1952; and 1,741,128 statute acres in 1953.
