Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Repair of County Kerry Roads.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that his Department have refused to sanction the proposal submitted by the Kerry County Council for the allocation of money from the county road grant for the steamrolling of College Road, Castleisland to Kilbanavan graveyard; and, if so, if he will now reconsider the proposal in view of the deplorable condition of the road.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that his Department have refused to sanction the recommendation of the Kerry County Council for the allocation of money for the completion of the steamrolling of the road to St. Teresa Hospital, Edenburn, Gortatlee, from the county road grant; and, if so, if he will now reconsider the proposal in view of the condition of the road.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 102 and 103 together. I am not so aware. These schemes are included in the 1954-55 county road improvement programme and are still the subject of correspondence with the county council.
