Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Flooding of County Cork Road

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware that as a result of the E.S.B. erecting a power station at Fitzgibbon Bridge, Inniscarra, the flood waters will cut off the residents of Fergus-Conody from their regular means of access to the main Cork-Macroom road and, if so, if he will request the E.S.B. to provide an alternative bridge in the area.

I am informed by the E.S.B. that the question of providing a bridge or an alternative solution is at present under discussion between representatives of the board and of the Department of Local Government.
