Vol. 147 No. 6

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - County Limerick Water Supplies.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state whether he has received proposals from the Limerick County Council for the extension of water and sewerage facilities to all council houses in Newcastle West, Kilmallock, and other towns in the county, and, if so, when a decision will be reached.

A proposal has been received in my Department from the Limerick County Council for the installation of sanitary facilities in 280 cottages at various places throughout the county, including Newcastle West and Kilmallock. The council have been requested to furnish certain documents which are required to enable the proposal to be examined. When these documents have been received in the Department, a decision on the matter will be issued as soon as possible.
