Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Galway: Minor Employment Schemes.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state in respect of the rural districts of Clifden, Oughterard and Galway, the amount allocated for minor employment schemes in (i) the period 1st October, 1953 to 31st March, 1954, inclusive, and (ii) the current financial year.

The minor employment schemes grants sanctioned in the financial year, 1953-54 in Clifden, Oughterard and Galway poor law union areas were £7,280, £7,365 and £8,300, respectively. To date, in the current financial year the following minor employment schemes grants have been allocated for these areas: Clifden, £4,630; Oughterard, £8,325; and Galway, £6,560.
