asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether, in order to assist turf producers in South Kerry, who are anxious to supply the turf-generating station at Cahirciveen, he will request the E.S.B. to purchase the 1955 supply of turf in this area.

I am informed by the E.S.B. that it is hoped to have this station in operation in the spring of 1956 and that the board will then be in the market for any surplus turf which may be available in the area from the 1955 harvest.
