Vol. 148 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Corrib Drainage Scheme.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state, in regard to the recent appointment of a pay clerk on the Corrib drainage scheme, (1) the number of Old I.R.A. men with certified service who applied for the job, and (2) the marks allocated for such service.

As I informed the Deputy in reply to a previous question there was only one direct applicant for this post. He made no claim to I.R.A. service and neither did any of the candidates interviewed. Accordingly the second part of the question does not arise.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the number of persons employed on the Corrib drainage scheme during each week since 13th November, 1954.

The numbers of men employed on the Corrib-Clare drainage scheme in each of the weeks since the 13th November, 1954, were as follows:—
