Vol. 148 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Mayo Land Allocation.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the location, area, and date of acquisition or resumption of all lands in County Mayo which are now in the possession of the Land Commission.

The records of lands on hands in County Mayo are in a very fluid state due to present-day activity regarding migration and rearrangement. I think the time and effort needed to list every small-holding which is passing through Land Commission hands would not be warranted.

I propose, with the Ceann Comhairle's permission, to circulate with the Official Report a tabular statement showing the larger estates on hands which I hope will meet the Deputy's requirements.

STATEMENT.

LANDS ON HANDS OF THE LAND COMMISSION IN CO. MAYO ON 15TH FEBRUARY, 1955.
