Vol. 149 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sub-Post Office Telephones.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if, in view of the fact that public telephones in many sub-post offices are not enclosed, with a consequent lack of privacy for users, and having regard to their unavailability after Post Office closing hours, he will have such phones installed in kiosks outside the premises.

The cost of providing outdoor kiosks generally in lieu of indoor telephones in sub-post offices would not be warranted by the receipts from additional calls likely to be made from such kiosks.
