Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin S.P. Betting Offices.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state, in respect of Dublin City, (a) the number of S.P. betting offices, (b) the total amount of betting tax paid to the Revenue Commissioners, and (c) the total estimated turnover of these offices.

There were 221 registered bookmaking offices in Dublin City on the 31st December, 1954.

The amount of betting duty paid through betting offices in Dublin in the calendar year 1954 was £335,663, representing a total turnover of £4,475,506.
