Vol. 149 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mayo County Hospital.

asked the Minister for Health whether he has received a recommendation from the Mayo County Council to have the proposed new county hospital buildings erected as an extension to the existing building rather than as a separate unit, and, if so, if he will expedite a decision in the matter in order that the work may be started this year.

Certain suggestions for an extension of the existing county hospital buildings have been made by the local authority. They are at present under consideration in my Department and I hope to be in a position to convey my views in the matter to the council at an early date.
