Committee on Finance. - Finance Bill, 1955—First Stage.
Leave granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to charge and impose certain duties of customs and inland revenue (including excise), to amend the law relating to customs and inland revenue (including excise) and to make further provisions in connection with finance.—(Minister for Finance).
The Bill will be circulated at once. I suggest that the Second Stage be taken on Wednesday, 1st June. When Deputies on the other side have seen the Bill, if they do not want to have it taken that day it will be all right. If Deputies are not satisfied, I am not going to push it for that day.
Second Stage ordered for Wednesday, 1st June, 1955.
