asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state (a) the postal districts reorganised prior to 1951, (b) the postal districts reorganised in the years 1952-53 to 1954-55, inclusive, (c) the postal districts to be reorganised in the current financial year, and (d) the districts remaining thereafter.

The information requested by the Deputy and particulars for the year 1951-52 are as follows:—
(a)Postal districts reorganised prior to 1st January, 1951:
Ballinasloe, Bray, Carrick-on-Shannon, Cork, Longford, Roscommon and Wicklow.
(b) Postal districts reorganised since 1st January, 1951:
Jan. '51-March, '51: Birr and Tullamore.
1951-52: Gorey, Kilkenny, Kilmallock, Mullingar, Nenagh, Roscrea, Thurles and Tipperary.
1952-53: Athlone, Cavan, Donegal, Drogheda, Dundalk (part), Letter-Kenny and Lifford.
1953-54: An Uaimh, Boyle, Ceanannus Mór, Dundalk (remainder) and Monaghan.
1954-55: Cahir, Clonmel, Skibbereen, Sligo and Tuam.
(c) Postal districts listed for reorganisation in the current financial year:
Bandon, Castlerea, Enniscorthy, Galway, Killarney, Limerick, Tralee and Waterford.
(d) Postal districts remaining to be revised when the 1955-56 programme has been completed:
Ballina, Bantry, Carlow, Castlebar, Claremorris, Curragh Camp, Ennis, Mallow, Naas, Portlaoise, Westport and Wexford.
