The construction of the station is proceeding as originally planned and it is expected that the station will be ready for operation by the summer of 1956.
The object of establishing this station was to provide an assured market for turf surplus to local needs produced in the area and to secure that this surplus was utilised in the most economic and efficient manner. The arrangements for the purchase of turf supplies are matters solely for the E.S.B.
